Updates ..

The best thing about working in Civil Service College is theres always food - left over catering food. Teabreaks in the morn and in the late noon. We are never hungry.

left over catering packed and drove back to CSC by my colleague (who is also caught often eating during the tea breaks and packing the food back home).

This yam pastry mooncake is from Shi Zheng, not bad.

Made Darling buy mooncakes for my parents, The varieties are hand picked and researched by me. GWP no gd, sometimes can't sample it.

Goodwood park hotel (from left) Cempedak (yuck!), Yam with red dates(snowskin) (special) and lotus. (nice).

Oyster egg ( i only like the egg), chwee kuay (don't like), chee chong fun (YUMS), beancurd with beansprout inside. Delicious ba. AT Chomp chomp market.
price: abt $12.

The last few days I had to prepare my letter of contract with EDB. I have to have 2 sureties whom I dunno who to nominate. Firstly, my dad is over the age limit (but it means he's able to pay rite?), secondly nominating my mum means she has to go down Raffles City to sign the contract at 4pm (which means she might have to take leave) and Father said she might not noe how to go there. The mum defensively said she can take MRT. But the Father said its too troublesome for her who has to cook for the sister who has just gave birth. Then Father tell me to nominate Seyyuen, whom I violently reject. God I haven't talked to him for a decade. Thirdly, if i nominate the sister, can she go out since she has to do her confinement for a month with closed windows and doors in MY room?
Anyhows its my sister and the mum. *case closed *
These few days I've been caught up preparing for my Visa to U.S. It's such a complex and tedious application. Thank God I haven't have much work in CSC so i do them during work. Its not only the Visa, its the insurace I've to buy as well. And these documents have lines and lines of legal terms and conditions which I don't have time to break down and digest.
Next is the medical check up (again!) at Raffles Hopsital (Where?).
And then the informal Visa interview and then the formal. And then the briefing. And then meeting the US gal from last batch.
Going to U.S. is indeed quite troublesome, U.K. is ok you noe.
Well, maybe its a good thing that U.S. is more stringent.

Ying's bday @ Swensens

Ros, send me a better resolution pic~
Celebrate Ying's bday @ Swensens. We had the firehouse bday ice-cream (if i'm not wrong?).
I was the one who chose Swensens becos I had ice-cream craving (ya, I know, again).
But I wasn't so sure of that becos' Mike, Meng and Ying had worked in Swensen's before.
Then later, Ying reminded me That Was Donkey years ago la, in secondary School, when we worked there.
Mind me, I'm old le.

Ying went Taiwan again, heres all her funny stuff.

Meng drove us home with his Honda Fit. Damn cool la, I was so excited.
Look at the screen in front that plays DVD.

on Retrospect

I finished FYP in mid May. Now its Sept. 4 months have passed attempting to find a path for Clarissa's future. On retrospect, I've lived so much for the future, I've yet again forgot to enjoy life. But still, I've to say life's better working than studying (which many of my peers agree with), its just that working needs almost full attendance (missing the days when i feel moody, I just skipped lessons). After all, once I finish work, I clear my mind to go home and watch TV (d 7pm and 9pm TCS show) which i've never done for many many years of my life. Silly to admit, but my desire when I was studying was to sit down and watch TV drama serials (which i could never afford the time for).

4yrs have passed slogging for the Hons that i've now (ok, wat is 4months right?). Ok, the first 2.5yrs was cheating becos i partied and socialised quite a lot. I also spent a lot of time on my chinese instrument. Half a year was spend on IA and dating the boyfriend. The last 1.5yrs was when I gathered all the concentration for the undesirable engine work. Given a chance to do it again, I will, but I will work hard from first year to build up on my foundations. In my 4th year, I grow to like engineering work. Yes i do. A pity I still have not develop the brains fully for it. But i say i'm able to think in abstract ways (see, you do not know what i'm talking abt). Which is to say, I can think randomly and force myself to link up the neurons for the random abstract information and make sense out of it (i know you still do not know what i'm saying). Gotcha, I smoked you, I'm still quite sillly.

And also quite nerdy. Recalling the fun times i had in school was with XT talking about our dates, our complains and our future envsions ( most of the time in the sch library), my hp ringing in lectures and the sotong me answering "Hello?" to the mum and the whole lecture group. Times with Mary and the rest in lectures were also quite funny. Actually school was a little dreadful having to handle so many subjects. There wasn't that much fun but more serious stuff where I learnt to deal with. Wk ends were burned doing tutorials. It was a mad rush against time - either you move fast or be left behind to handle the consequences.

Convocation was one of my best time in my life. Sleeping late is now not a sinful indulgence. Shopping in Bugis Junction, Junction 8, Jurong Point, Tiong Bahru Plaza etc is a need (I need to buy working clothes wat) and life's greatest pleasure. Life's good. But not without God.

Have been attending church regularly for the last few sundays. Daddy God is still the core of my life. I have been going alone. Having pulled off contacts with Campus Ministry (now its DARE?) and CGs due to schoolwork, I do feel a little emo at times, I mean they are people who like me, love and feel for God. I can see that all of us have grown up and matured. I wish we had shared the journeys with God together. Now that i've sort of overcomed my ordeal, I feel like I've lost what's most precious - the relationships with the people of God. At times, I still recall Weipeng treated me to some foods because my parents have not given me allowance (now, at 18yrs old, it means alot ok?). I saw Weipeng last wk, he grew so fat (faint).

I am able to return back to NTU CG, but since i'm starting work soon in some unknown organisations yet, I just put off the thought. Just wait till i know where i belong, I'll start finding my place in church. I hate to wait you know. I've waited 4months for a good job. But i guess its for a better outcome.

Woman's Day out

Went Amore's WDO with gal. Ahaha, i didn't realise Belly Blitz is actualli quite fun. Can't grasp the steps fully but had fun shaking my belly (although I had cramps when i started shaking it initially).

Then We went Bugis Liang Seah Street to eat steamboat. Its my first time eating there! I had wanted to try it for very long le, and my first time is given to the steamboat fanatic. We went xian de lai, which was ex lo! They charge us the soup pot for $5. The buffet is ard 20. So its $22.50.

Chicken and Ma La Soup. No taste de. BLUFF!

The chicken pieces nice!

drool drool drool

I like the special meat balls. I ate 5 i think. I also like the dong fen.

I first chocked on the hot soup

Then came the gal miserably chocked.

And we left that pot alone! I don't want to go back again. Gal also ate until want to vomit (too full that is hahhhaa) That place no ice cream. no gd. I prefer Seoul Garden.

After that we went shopping!!!!!!! I bot some socks to go with my pumps. And I bot another tracce pump. And a top at 10% discount which i super like. I bot a pair of eye rings but i can't find it now...sigh. Monster also bot a top! Hope we both pretty pretty always.

It was satisfying and fun. Don't mind another WDO - that is once a yr (outdoor events are so hot).
