Jobs jobs jobs

The other day when I broke the news to Weiling, she was like Hey, your job-seeking quite smooth ah, not many rejections. What she drew from within me was the turbulence I had with me for the past few months.

Dejected cos i felt no organisations want me. As time went by, I grew sorta immuned, I woke up everyday for at least 1month, trying my best at every cover letter and resume and sending at least 3 everyday. It was a ritual, i didn't even go to the gym, I just sat at the chair paraphrasing and editing my resume; and be drained by the negativity eating into me.

Yes, when she mentioned that sentence, my fleeting thought was THAT much. And I mumbled No ah...also have.

I guess job-seeking is not that fast a process. Everybody is impatient and demands outcomes NOW but failed to realise good things take time. Perhaps a little too long.. But Thank God Almighty, he makes me wait and gives me the best. He even provides me with choices. I'm a testimony of God. =ppp I'm just like those blessed pple who waits upon Him patiently and be blessed abundantly.

Maybe I should not rejoice so fast. After all, nothing's confirmed and i'm in a whirl of confusion, unsure of what to do.

I'm surprised of what my current boss is offering me. He is going to hire another temp or intern to do admin jobs. There are aplently research to do for upcoming projects and many seminars (including one in KL and one in US) to attend. I see from his eyes he wants me to stay on, but in those eyes the helplessness of not being able to make a decision for me. Finally I'm the boss here! Having been a small fly, a slave, a PA, a smiling machine for pple taking workshops, he wants me to stay and be trained under him to faciliate and take over some parts of training. Finally I've my own babies to take care - research projects, which I can read numerous writeups and produce my own revelations to share with people (kinda dumb, but i like it). Having said so, I don't know how life would be like having to work closely with the boss. Having been through those difficult times slogging and being reprimanded by him (taking out on me having been scolded by Boss), I start to dislike him. Some more, he speaks too fast, too unclear and quite inconsiderate to me. Didn't he tell me to raise my voice at the catering personnel and tell them to pack the foods for them (FYI, catering pple onli caters and do not pack). I see goals but I prefer the positive zest to reach those goals instead of BU ZHE SHOU DUAN.

On the other side, the pay, stability and environment is really good. Nothing much I want to hiam. Still, I come with a sense of sadness that I've to face the boss.

Hope hope hope i get the XXX. Not revealing yet becos scaly i don't get it. Going to go for medical check up on friday and there still the IPPT.

If i get the XXX, I'll be over the moon. But just wait till 6/9 for the 2nd interview.

Boss said to tell him by the end of this week whether i'm interested to convert. I guess i'll decide after the medical checkup on fri! Till then, I'll just let go of this stone in me. Bye. * hands over the stone to Devil under my feet.

job seeking

Job seeking wasn't easy. Esp when i've certain ideals I try to match as I seek these jobs.

I didn't get the childhood dream jobs - to b a policewoman. -to b an air-stewardess.
The latter was ok, I didn't mind not getting it, in fact I'm not interested anymore now. The former bot much tears.
Interview Part 1 over.

Interview Part 2:
subjected to some straightforwardness from the interviewers:
you got too much time so you come and interview is it.
you are not clear what you want, you seem to be everywhere.
Are you sure you noe what position you are interviewing?

-second interview for the day lands me this research assistant job.
wrapped many presents and blew fifty balloons.
Seriously doubt my prospect.

Interview Part 3:
Pending

Interview Part 4:
Professional Instructors (actually like childcare teacher).
pay: 1650 (have to eat grass).

Feeling the chill again; Singapore has been a little too cold for me nowadays. I sat stony in the train from Yishun to Jurong. Some past you try to bury and forget but its usually the more you try to do it, the more it comes back to haunt you. The best way is to forgive. I sat emotionally paralysed. I'm really good at it.

I'm doing it rarely nowadays, after all, the boyfriend keeps me company. He keeps the frail brain occupied happily. If the frail brain clicks into negativity, it searches for the bf to break out of the negativity.

The frail brain does not search for the source tonite. It sits immuned.

galgal's Chicken Teriyaki and Salmon Don rice: $14
The pig finished all.

Now?

New job at Civil Service College at Buona Vista, planning for Knowledge Management workshop.

2 tea breaks and 1 lunch are really superb.

I've not seen more "ons" Aunties and Uncles. Damn Zai lo they.

Actually the best thing abt this job is I get trained for free! Although now I'm only qualified to do planning and facilitating, I see how much more i'll be involved in researching for knowledge managment course materials. KM aka boss talked to me on my second day of work; what I percieve from our sharing is that he is willing to provide me opportunities to shine and to take the hardship now. I felt thankful that I've a goal to work toward to, then. After all, KMCU (knowledge mangement consulting unit) is pretty small, i feel quite lost as to who to approach and how to work. With KM's assurance, I felt at ease and ironically a little pressure to perform.

Finishing the forth day of work and having attended KM's and Deb. Director Mr Kopi's trainning, I realise what it means to conduct training. It is not only drawing from a rich wealth of theories X and Y, it also means drawing relevance from real life experiences and applying these theories to the experiences and explaning the outcomes. After all, the training should be pragmatic to the working associates so they could apply it themselves. KM was a school principal, an insurance advisor, has an MBA and a blah blah blah. Mr Kopi was a chemical engineer and is an established speaker globally.

If I stayed on in CSC, how much knowledge management could I apply in CSC? When will the day come that I could conduct training myself one day? Having that fleeting thought, my mind settles I would move on. After all, I don't want to be proficient in event managment and administration. I want to be a professional, but I don't see myself other than doing these shit job until perhaps Mr Kopi wants to retire.

I just bot Straits Times. Saturday Recruitment is very helpful.
Maybe I should call Jobline again to tell them I don't mind too technical jobs animore.
Bring it on.
Looking forward for a clearer goal to work toward to, a clearer aspiration and more opportunities to shine. I am really dilligent.
