Zoo

went to the Mandai Zoo today!! I remembered when i was 20 or somewhere there, ying was singing the song I'm going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo and Z attempted to sing it today too, except he forgot the tune of it! I don't remember whether i had enjoyed being at the Zoo with ying, Dren and the rest, but today i had some good fun!

Z is doing a trip to Africa in Oct and he was talking about seeing tigers there, but today we saw on the board that there are no Tigers in Africa, only in Asia!

For White Tigers, they were repoduced by this one white tigeress called Mohan spotted in 1951. So somewhat incest was commited and the population today.

And next, we saw the Baboons, which are some monkeys with some heart shaped ass. And there were so many of them living under the same community! You should see Z's hilarous, shocking face when he saw the Baboons. In the pic, if u can spot the affection, one Baboon is picking ticks and dead skin for another. OH SO TOUCHING for some awkwardly-looking beast.

Of cos we saw the biggest animal - the elephant. They are not as big as the one in Phuket that Darling WL and I sat on. But they are pretty well-trained, more so than the ones in Phuket. But actually the ones in Singapore are of a tamer looking species. At least the mahouts did not have to keep using the Aṅkuśa (or ankus, anlius)–a sharp metal hook used in the training and handling of the elephant. Makes me nostalgic of the trip in Phuket with WL sitting on the clumsy, rebellious, young elephant - it was one hell of a rocking back-breaking ride.

Lastly, of mentioned is the white peacock. Did it come from the heavens? OH GOD! And we also spotted another indigo coloured bird, with a resplendent, different-shades of-purple crown. But it doesn't have any feathers behind. It wasn't stated what it is. Z said it must be a chicken. LOL............what a beautiful chicken.

We also happen to see the lions' feeding time so chunks of raw meat was thrown over to them and they feast on it voraciously. YUM. I stared at the feasting for a little while. What is it that these lions have that made them so agressive? ROAR.

So I didn't take any pictures with Z at all, if you don't count the pictures taken by the kid (who take the pictures for the visitors at the door). Reason being: too shy.

PLAY

I feel a little like a fallen star, receding to a normal stone.
Am i receding toward an ebb of social enjoyment?
I loved the thrill and the rush, and I called it life. I used to embrace them, in any sort they might come.

But now i fear. People reaffirmed me it is the way I am, and don't stop. But i didn't force myself to falter. Surely, it is indeed myself who wants to take a back seat. I remember vividly when i said "No, i wouldn't marry a 50 year old, it's not true love, and I want true love".

Let PLAY just stop for a bit.
